Who can apply for Junior Cast?
To apply for Junior Cast, you must be a registered member of Scouts and be under 11 years of age at the 31st May 2026. Cast members must also be active members of their Scout unit and be regularly attending meetings and activities.
Please note: Junior cast are not required to Audition … if you would like to be in our Show … you can be.

What’s involved?
Parent Information Session and Junior Cast Costume Measuring
A parent information session will be held on Saturday 2nd May 2026 from 12.30pm to 1.45pm at Nichols Point Scout Centre.
All parents and Junior Cast members are encouraged to attend to find out all about this year’s Junior Cast item, along with our Costume team measuring each Junior Cast member for their costume.
The cost for Junior Cast membership for 2026 is $50 each and includes a souvenir Show DVD/USB.
Rehearsals & Performances
Junior Cast rehearsals are held at Nichols Point Scout Centre commencing on Sunday 3rd May 2026 from 12.30pm to 1.45pm.
Junior cast are required to wear their Scout Uniform to each rehearsal.
Gang Show is a team effort and reliability and punctuality are very important in any team situation – latecomers / absentees can hold up proceedings and waste valuable time.
All performances will be held at Mildura Arts Centre Theatre from Thursday 2 July to Sunday 5 July 2026.

Transition Program
Sunraysia Gang Show values the development of our Junior Cast members and understands that the change from Junior Cast to Senior Cast can be a large jump. We have developed a transition program to assist with a seamless transition from Junior Cast to Senior Cast.
The transition program is offered to all Cub Scouts who are 10YO by 30 April 2026.
The cast involved in the transition program will commence rehearsals from our first junior cast rehearsal date. They will then attend rehearsals each week on a Tuesday night from 6.30 until 8pm. Towards the end of the rehearsal season it may be required for the transition cast to attend the full rehearsal time frame (6.30-9pm), however the need for this will be kept to a minimum.
The aim of the program is to allow an increased participation in the show. Our transition program cast will be involved in the Opening Act, Junior Cast item and First Act Finale.
The cost for Junior Cast Transition membership for 2026 is $60 each and includes a souvenir Show DVD/USB.
